Join us Thursdays @ 7P for “Prayer and Share.”
Thursdays will be an important night for us to come together to seek the Lord’s heart for this growing season of WCCF and what our part is in His plans and purposes in this community. Tonight, Pastor Barry will challenge us to pray for loved ones who may not yet have a relationship with Jesus. Prayer is such a vital part of our relationship with Jesus – how have you been doing lately?
Here are a few thoughts about prayer.
When we spend time in prayer:
1. It is an opportunity to bring our will into line with God’s plan.
2. It is an opportunity to demonstrate our trust in God.
3. It is an opportunity to not only speak to God, but to have Him speak to us.
4. It is a privilege.
5. It is asking for the help that only God can provide.
6. It is asking God to bring the spiritually confused and lost to the cross.
7. It is asking and thanking God for His healing in our hearts, mind, body, family, friends, co-workers, community, and those who may be here/near or far.
I hope that we all learn to make prayer a priority. WCCF offers Thursday night Prayer and Share as a means to do so. It will be a great night to seek hard after the heart of God.
In the gospel of John, we read the prayer that Jesus prayed to His Father;
“I am not praying for these alone but also for the future believers who will come to me because of the testimony of these. My prayer for all of them is that they will be of one heart and mind, just as you and I are, Father- that just as you are in Me and I am in You, so they will be in Us, and the world will believe you sent Me.” (John 17:20-21)”Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

WCCF will continue to reach out to our community and offer other AWARENESS Experiences this summer through;
[1] AWARENESS Concert Series (Friday-June 26, Friday- July 24, and Friday-August 28, 2009).
[2] Community garage sales to raise needed funds for the support of our mission goals.
[3] Each Connect Community [small group] will adopt a mission focus.

“Takin’ It To The Streets”- Homeless Outreach highlights!

Picture (1)- Prep time before the WCCF folks hit the streets of Oceanside to talk to, pray with and hand out lunches and bottled water to those in need during the Outreach. We had a blast working together and being The Church!
